iPhone XS stuck on progress bar

    Through iTunes I was updating iPhone. Update downloaded as usual, entered passcode on phone and progress bar started under the Apple icon as usual, it only progressed a tiny bit and stopped. I left it as I know sometimes it takes ages, but it stayed like that over 3 hours.

    A quick google suggests a forced restart, that didn't do anything. Alternative suggest is to seek service.

    Any other options I can try and does anyone know will I have lost the contents of the phone??
