Carer's allowance shared by both parents

Hello everyone. I'm wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation and may be able to help me out with some information. I am in receipt of disability allowance for myself, and DCA and half rate carer's for my daughter. I'm getting an increase for qualified adult for my husband on my DA payment. My husband has had to leave his job in order to be able to help me care for our daughter, as she needs 24/7 care, which we both provide together. Im getting mixed information regarding whether or not my husband may also be able to apply for carer's allowance for our daughter. Some have told me he can recieve half carer's for her and mine will be reduced to quarter rate, others have said he can't get anything at all, and others again have said he will receive quarter rate and my own payment will also be cut to quarter rate, meaning we will still be getting the same amount as if I had just remained on half rate. Citizen's advise were not able to help, and I haven't been able to get through to carer's allowance section on the phone yet. Has anyone been in a similar situation and might be able to tell me how it went for them?

PLEASE only provide me with information if you're completely certain it is correct, as I'm really tired of getting mixed messages and not knowing which information is reliable.
