Bypassing doorbell for Ring

    I have a wired Ring doorbell to install and have a quick query.

    I opened door chime and expected one wire to be connected to 0&1 the other to 2&3

    The wire that should be connected to 2 seems to have been connected to 1 instead.

    Was that someone just taking a short cut ?

    To bypass, the instructions are to disconnect 0 & 3 and use bypass wire & clips supplied.

    Should I remove he wire from "1" and place it in "2" also?

    Hi, yes probably wired up wrong so it might not have rang as intended?

    The pair going to 0 & 1 are probably the transformer, the pair going to 1 and 3 are probably the bell. Test it by marking all wires and disconnecting each (except for what's on terminal 0 for the moment) and then taking the other wire from that pair (currently going to terminal 1) and touching it off terminal 3 - if the bell rings then that's the transformer and the other pair is the button.
