    Hi folks,

Son (21) wants an Ipad for xmas - he has an older one he had in school but its 8 years old now and pretty much unusable. For about 500 euro what would be the best value/performance to go for? Lots on adverts. Would you be able to pick up a pro a few years old? Go for an air? His main use is music apps for recording/mixing guitar/audio and other bits and pieces like that.

    Cheers,

    Mick

Either keep an eye on Apple for refurbished, or go for a brand new iPad v10. €419.00 for 64GB.

I got one of these last week. Having just moved from an android tablet I was impressed.

thanks is it worth going for a promotion display? are the only available in the pro models? i was thinking of looking at a 2 year old pro or something like that - it would be better value than a new ipad?

Amazon.de has good prices for refurbished iPads (the word for 'refurbished' is 'Generalüberholt'). Delivery from amazon.de is usually a week or two.
