The screen that shows up before login in Windows 10

This annoys me. I am invited to look at a choice of landscapes with various links that I sometimes click by mistake.

I have to click on an empty space before I can login (I have set no password so why do I even have to login at all)

How to get rid of it or at least to make it as inoffensive as possible?

I have tried changing the background of the "lock screen" to a uniform colour but this has no effect.

    Enjoying your WIn10 i see ? 😉

Wait til you get nappies or alike adds there, bet you M$ has this on their to-do list

search for how to turn off tips/facts (settings»personalization)or entirely disable/remove lockscreen(regedit, gpedit). Depend on your version, some options might not be available for you

Thanks.A long time since I used the regedit proceedure.

This one seems to call for it .

(some say just to remove the password but I don't have one to remove even though I have to login)

The regedit procedure did the trick.

Are there any downsides to installing an ad blocker now?

(used to have it before the hard drive crashed on the win7 I was running before -obviously some sites insist on you disabling it)

not using myself(on FF "strict" privacy setting dont seam to need much, also filtering lots of crap on firewall), but your experience might be different. Other people , including here, are using without much problems, as far i can tell.
I am on my own "custom boards setup" so ads dont bother me at all (i just don't see them) on PC, rare on the phone(don't understand how it is readable/viewable for others, but ….)
