Hey, I have a LG C9 I bought in Oct 2019 that has developed some burn-in. Just wondering does this panel protect warranty which is on my receipt cover burn-in? Thanks.

    Hi Youcancallmeal.

Sorry to here you have some burn in on your OLED.

This isn't covered by our guarantee unfortunately, nor the original manufacturers warranty.
Static images can cause screen burn on OLED unfortunately.

No worries, just thought I'd check. 5 years of watching with subtitles on nearly everything is the problem. Could've gone for LCD but the light bloom from subtitles in dark scenes drives me mad

    Hey Youcancallmeal.

I feel your pain, I have an older 55B7 and it has and large E in the corner from entertainment now and a few health bars and others things from gaming burnt into it. All of my own doing :(

I also have a C1 and so far no issues with the same amount of use.

The newer generation as less prone to this but long periods of the same image over and over again just isn't good for OLED televisions. The newer ones have lots of tech built in to try and avoid this.
