WhatsApp voice notes have ruined radio, classic hits, today fm, 2fm. They're all the same shtick now with the presenter dreaming up some stupid scenarios (looking at you trina) to regale the listeners about how they lolled about it. Queue the usual clowns (mick the taxi driver) lining up to send in notes about how their brother in laws first cousin done the same thing in benedorm 15 years ago. Rant /

It's no different to the early 00s when reading out SMS texts took over Irish radio.

Not a fan of it either, comes across as lazy radio.

In general though, I do detest voice notes.

remember the the early - mid 2000s certain presenters asked listeners to leave phone call voice messages, such as rick o'shea and john clarke on 2FM and they'd be played on-air the following night or week.

Trina Mara is the absolute definition of lazy radio.

Made up stories that "happened to friends", pretending she can't remember what things were called so listeners will keep sending in messages, and loads of "dy'member" shite.

There's nothing I hate more in this world that the "do ya remember when" sh*te, especially when it's stuff that never happened.

"Do ya remember when yad leave the immersion on and yer Da would flake ya up and down the garden"

    No, I don't.
