RTÉ Weather Forecast - Improved PQ

I watched the Weather following the RTE One o'clock tv News today (Wed 13th) - I noticed that the font used for words no longer is pixellated on the screen. I looked at the presenter who was extremely clear - I've always felt the presenter has looked a biz fuzzy as if an old camera (possibly non HD) was being used. The outline of Ireland on the weather map looked sharper. Does anyone know if there has there been an upgrade in the weather studio - is it all now HD? If so, what day did it go live?

Just checked the RTE Player - the farming forecast from Sunday is still pixellated and Joanne looks fuzzy, checked yesterday's forecasts and they were sharp. So did it happen on Monday or Tuesday?

Its about time if they have upgraded it to HD.

That's funny because I was watching tonight and thought it looked much better so must have gotten an upgrade

They must be recording with a Samsung Galaxy S 2 now.

For a long time it has been truely horrific - looked as if it was filmed in a broom cupboard with a Nokia phone and a Commodre 64 controlling the graphics! I must check the next broadcast to see if it has indeed improved.

I think it happened on the 12th. Looks so much better now and they seemed to have gotten the chroma key right too so there isn't a blue outline around the presenter. About time

it’s definitely improved but there was some sort of fault on the screen tonight.
