Seeking Advice on Conditional Job Offer with a 2:2 in Master's Degree

    Hello everyone,

I recently received a graduate job offer from an accounting firm (not big 4) for an Audit Associate role, set to start in September 2025. However, the offer is conditional upon achieving a 2:1 in my final degree classification. While I have a 2:1 in my bachelor's degree, my master’s degree was awarded at a 2:2 classification (58%) very recently.

I’m wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation or has advice on how best to approach this with the employer. Would it be advisable to communicate my circumstances to them now, or should I wait until closer to the start date? Any guidance on how firms might view this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you in advance!
