How do you all rate these devices?

Picked one up and spoke to thee guy on support when alerts weren't coming through. Told me not to leave it on too long at a time. Give the tail a rest if you can.

Have a young heifer that a wealing got to, going to be my 1st use if device.

How have ye found using them?

I have one the last few years. Find it really good. Try not to put it on too close to calving as it won’t give you any alert. But also not too far away from it. Sometimes if nothing happened that night, I’d take it off in the morning for few hours of the day that I’m around and pop it on again when I’m leaving. Definitely so handy for middle of the night. Can get a few false alarms but overall I’m pretty happy with it.

Have two a couple of years now and wouldn't be without. Works best in compliment to cameras.

Might give the very odd false alarm but in my experience it never sees a cow calve without an alert.

It's tight on the tail so I wouldn't leave it on anymore than 60 consecutive hours, give a break for some hours in between or during the day when you're around.

I've taken it off every day for a bit since day 1. And have it loose . Noticed she isn't lifting the tail today when ****. Going to leave it off by day and use at night I think. Camera will cover me by day

great job but there is a knack to it re false alarms as others have said. I find having it on too tight for too long can give a false reading. Helps with the sleep when calving is in full swing
