Cost for removal of slates with asbestos content

    looking for ballpark costs for proper disposal of slates with asbestos from a three bedroom 85 square metres bungalow. About 1800 slates. Anyone have this done lately?

    There are two parts to your question.

    1: removal off roof: what is your contractor saying.

    2: removal off site: at which stage it will need to be properly wrapped: usually double plastic sheeting

    To just remove asbestos slates that have been bagged is about €870/bag.

    A bag being those builder's bags you typically get gravel or sand in.

    I would estimate you probably have about 3 bags

    waiting on a price from contractor, they are extremely busy and it will probably be next spring before anyone can do the work
