How long for plaster to dry before painting

I got a new wall built across my garden. Plasterer put a scratch coat on it a few weeks ago (used HP12), and put the final coat (K Rend) on it yesterday.

I'm looking to paint it. Wondering how long I need to wait for the plaster to fully dry before I can start painting? I presume the weather will play a factor in the timing, but an estimate would suffice.

Hi, with the weather the way it is just now, the paint will take quite a while to dry and the issue might be that if the paint is applied late in the day (last couple of hours of sunlight) then the condensation will form and cause the paint to run. Also an RH of more than 80% is also not recommended by some (it's 85% RH here in S Dublin just now).

But otherwise I'd be leaving standard cement render for at least two weeks and only painting after it has been washed or rained on and re-dried so that any loose dust has been carried away, but I believe that K-rend takes even longer to cure fully. You might find that info on the k-rend site.

Thanks. I sent a mail to them to get their recommendation. The plasterer did say the ready made stuff (K Rend) does take longer to dry, but didn't want to give any times in case I painted too soon and blamed him if there were any problems.

Honestly with the current weather condition I would leave it till the Spring before painting it

    Just a personal opinion

I got exterior walls done late last year and left them till the summer and then painted them
