Have to get rid of DCL…🤪

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,274 ✭✭✭✭Cartman78

Trent, Haaland, Gabriel, Diaz and maybe Watkins on the chopping block 😬

2FT and 0.1m in the bank....have been playing too conservatively I think so far

Got rid of Robertson already to bring in Hall to leave me with 2.7mill in the bank since he is very close to a price drop. Tempted to take first hit of the season now to try turn around a dismal few weeks with no player returning anything positive so far this week.

Konate posted no serious injury and hopes to possibly be back for next game

Thinking Bruno for the next three

Foden has been a disaster, likely take -4 to sell him and Diaz for Salah and 4.5 MF

Maybe Trent → Ait Nouri, because of the fixtures, unless any big injuries come up

I think Trent is still carrying a knock since the last international break and while his defending in recent games has been quite good, his passing has been way off. Attacking potential is lower, and also Villa/City/Newcastle are trickier to score against while also having good attacking potential.

I fancy Wissa & Semenyo, who were in my og team.

Would need a -4. Watkins & a low cost MF out.

Can't afford Cunha, so DCL to Strand Larsen.

Hard to ignore their upcoming fixtures, SOU/ful/BOU/eve/whu/IPS/lei.

I'm in exactly the same Boat, I want to bring in Johnson (IPS) and Cunha and I'm 0.1m short!! (2FT)

I could switch Johnson to KUL or Cunha to SL but don't really want to…

Ill probably swap Watkins to Isak after the forest game and this brings in extra funds but not this week, but don't want to do that for a -4 now, but I also need to target the IPS SOT games this week!!

oh I dropped from 315K to 540K after monday nights game, I guess its more to do with subs coming in rather than points from that game itself?

I had three transfers so got rid of Haaland, Delap and Buonanotte, brought in Strand Larsen, Solanke and Salah.

City are in bad shape right now so I don't think it's worth holding on to Haaland.

Gor rid of Haaland (for Cunha) before any further price drops...Rogers also gone to make way for Salah 😬

Held on to Diaz.…if Slot starts playing him centrally like last night things could get interesting

Are people getting rid of Haaland to get rid of Haaland or to jump onto someone more worthwhile?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 41,692 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

With the way City are playing it's not looking very promising. I'd rather have Salah and plenty of cash to invest everywhere else. Like I can now afford TAA and improve another defender should I wish. My midfield right now has Salah, Palmer, Foden and Buemo.

I've had Wood since day 1 and I've moved the third striker in and out so now I've got Solanke and Strand Larsen and I'll move them on if I feel I need to.

My intention is to bring in TAA and Diaz over the next couple of weeks.

Might get Welbeck in to exploit that leaky City defence

Slot mentioned post game that he started Diaz central as Jonathan Tah usually excelled against bigger physical target men type striker, so they switched it up to try get Diaz running in behind him instead.

Which is somewhat of a welcome change, as in pre-season the noises coming out of Liverpool were that Gakpo/Diaz were LW only and Jota/Nunez were CF only. This is showing that Slot is open to moving the forwards around and rotating their positions, especially while Jota & Chiesa are out.

I can get Diaz alright this week, but it would have to be part of a -4, which I am reluctant to do, so I might just have to wait until the GW after. Which also brings the international break stuff - Diaz didn't start the game after the most recent international break because of the poor performances of the South Americans in the game after the international break previously, in which Liverpool lost at home to Forest. Which then leads me away from buying him!

Yeah I didn't bring in Diaz because of the international games and then City and Newcastle. My target is go have him for the Everton game.

    Thinking of an audacious -8

    Haaland, Saliba, Archer all out

Solanke, Isak and TAA all in

Team looks better on paper, just not sure I'll cover the hit right away.

I don't think TAA is worth it right now. He hasn't an easy run of it outside the Southampton game for the next while. Villa aren't easy to keep a clean sheet against, neither are City and Newcastle. There's an international break, a Real Madrid Champions league game before the City game. I'm targeting him for Dec 7th against Everton and a very nice run of fixtures.

I don’t like the look of that.

I sold Haaland this week and I regret it. I wasn’t thinking straight when I did it.

Not sure I’d want to take a hit going into an international break either.

Talk me out of Watkins to Solanke for a -4

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,458 ✭✭✭✭Father Hernandez

Thanks both. My interest has cooled somewhat after I realised my lowly owned Cameron Archer is going to score 2 goals v Wolves.

    Watkins and Foden - Out

Salah and Cunha - In for -4

I actually just came into the thread to possibly propose a Watkins → Solanke move.

But it is more beneficial than doing Trent → Ait Nouri?

I wouldn't do Trent myself, for a couple reasons. His attacking returns aren't great this year as he is taking up more of a deeper role. He is playing more of a traditional full back role, and is actually defending quite well tbf, but his passing the last few games has been poor. He is under-hitting a number of passes and seems to be lacking the range that is usually prevalent. Trent good at defending but poor attacking…….time to get in AWB?!! 😁 You are kind of relying on the team keeping a CS to get returns here really. Immediately there is Villa, who although are in poor form, are capable of scoring a goal or two. And then after the international break (where Trent is a key player under the new manager and will probably play a couple of times) Liverpool play Southampton who are quite poor at set pieces. Which does appeal to Trent owners then, but it is also the game before Liverpool play Real Madrid midweek and Man City at the weekend. It's a prime opportunity to rest Trent ahead of a big week IMO. I think Liverpool defence is more GW15 ish time.

    McNeil to Johnson

C Lewin to Strand Larson (0.1 short for Cunha)

    2FT

Thinking of doing McNeil to Semenyo and reversing the transfer I did a few weeks ago. Don't know what I was thinking getting McNeil.

Did this as well as Saka to Salah. Saka will be back soon but the Mo fear was just too much this week.
