Is it normal for Kucoin to have 0.1% deposit fees?

I was about to deposit USDT from my wallet to my old Kucoin account and I saw a caution text about a 0.1% fee on my deposit, I was absolutely shocked cause whyyy. Even tier 1 exchanges aren't charging that much fgs, that was a very very bad move from them ngl

As expected I dropped Kucoin and went for another exchange, I would have used Binance but location restriction and they have been involved in multiple scandals recently. I eventually opted for Bitget , which didn't charge ridiculous fees on my deposit like a sensible exchange should do. Am I the only one that noticed that Kucoin fee?

They all have fees somewhere, check the trading fees too and the sending fees. Some are ridiculous and they can catch you at different points. Also check the chain it’s using and avoid stable coins on Eth, too expensive for transactions.

hmmm I've never actually been charged for sending crypto to an exchange, normally some small fees on trading and then a (usually fixed) withdrawal fee
