Moving whatsapp history from android to iPhone 15

    I transferred data including contacts, texts and photos from my Samsung to iPhone 15 using 'moving to IOS' app. However my apps didn't transfer nor can I access my WhatsApp chat history on new phone

    Is there any way of transferring these manually or will I have to do a factory reset on iPhone and try again?

    Thanks very much. I'd read that link but when I was using the transfer to ios app I didn't see a specific option to select transfer whatsapp data. From memory it was just a series of generic categories.

    When I open the transfer to ios app now it won't connect with the iPhone even though both phones on same WiFi network. So I suppose I'm wondering if there is any option left other than factory reset the iPhone and start again. Now I'll freely admit I'm a complete luddite with this stuff to the point I get a headache trying to decipher the technical stuff.

    Uses bluetooth to transfer. Within whatsap in settings chats look for transfer to ios, a cloud should appear the you hold the new phones camera to and then follow the wizzard.

    Its a pita and can take a few goes

    Finally the move to ios app did the business and the transfer worked for contacts, texts, whatsapp and some apps. I had to try it a couple of times as the process stalled when trying to log into icloud.

    Turned out I needed to update the iPhone software before transferring any data from android phone. A bit of a pita having to download the apps again on the iPhone but at least I has full text and WhatsApp history
