Hi CMcsporty, can you confirm that you have engaged with the Mod in question already and if so, please post the messages here or via PM.

    • You are being warned for the following post:Disparaging nicknames is abuse per charter
    • CMcsporty

      CMcsporty  October 25

I respect the warning and would like to add it was said in a context; whereby I think he is 'bluffing'. it just so happens its also a moniker that has been applied to him.

Have a read of this post in the charter, it's pretty clear on this sort of thing:

    • CMcsporty

      CMcsporty  October 25

with respect I had read the charter already

Reread and let’s be fair. Bluffer v fat Spanish waiter….

      And a ban I see!

The ban is for accumulated warnings, again as per charter.

      You can dispute here:

      thanks for the dispute link

I do think it’s worthwhile pursuing it considering context, subject and subsequent ban

Esp when it was in direct response to your response about “real” people.

      It’s all subjective

Hi CMcsporty, I have taken a look at this and your post warranted a 1 point Warning. From the Charter - You may consider certain terms to be a bit of banter, but any nickname or phrase that is even vaguely derogatory may be considered as abuse for the purpose of the charter. - calling him Bluffer instead of his actual name does come under the above.

You may have been given some leeway - as you say - considering context, subject and subsequent ban - but it is fairly clear and you have previous with this style of posting.

Leeway was given to you last month when you received a 0 point Warning for your 'man child' comment, so it is something you need to consider more in your posting.

The Ban was indeed due to it being your second 1 point Warning - your pevious Warning was for name calling too as it happens.

    The Ban will remain.

If you would like an Admin to further review please let me know.

thanks for detailed response And review

I don’t want to drag this on

How long is a 1 point ban for btw?

    As I said I don’t want to go on….I’m 6 year’s contributing to this platform….2 warnings….

Warnings in the Soccer Forum are counted back 2 years and you have two 1 point warnings in that period and a 2 week ban was therefore given.

I thought ‘leeway’ not granted for the first warning? And it It was a 0 point warning.

    So it’s a 1 point warning. No?

I know mod must be a thankless job. Just think context is important to note and consider.

Your first 1 point warning was when you decided to call Carvajal a 'prick' - never going to be any leeway there.

You then got a 0 point warning - a reminder that certain posts are not going to be allowed again.

You then got a 1 point warning for 'Bluffer'.

Over the past 2 years, you have two 1 point warnings in the Soccer Forum and hence a 2 week ban.

0 point warnings do not count towards Bans.

I completely forgot about the statement about of Carvajal been a prick. Fair enough. Sorry that you had to search back.

    Will leave it at that.

    Thanks for taking the time.
