Agptek Mp3 player not playing files

    Hi,
I recently bought a,new Agptek U3 Mp3 player, to replace the same brand of player that recently broke.
I had the music files stored on a 32 GB Micro SD card in my old player.
However, when I inserted this card into my new player, some albums did not play at all, even though I could see the files listed in the player. The files played no problem in my old player so I'm pretty sure its not a format problem.
What could be the issue here?
    Thank you.

The files may not be all mp3 files they may be other audio format files .or the files may be in the wrong folder .copy the files in to the folder where the working files area ,leave a few megabytes empty on the card

Will I need to convert all the files to Mp3? Some are in wma. Is there any workaround to convert all the wma files to Mp3 in bulk? (It would take ages to convert all one by one).

If the device supports WMA then they should still play. If the files are important to you then copy them to a PC or Mac and see if you can play them there. VLC is free and will play them. Then get a new micro SD card and copy them there. The old card may be corrupted. 32 GB cards are cheap. There are tools to bulk convert files too, to MP3 if you had to do that.

Anyway, my takeaway is don't just leave the files only on a single SD card, they fail often or you'll lose them.

    Thanks

I think the issue is the player isn't playing the files stored on the Micro SD card. The card is compatible. It only plays files from root folder not the sd card. I think the pc is mistakenly reading the player as a usb stick not an mp3.

Is there any Agptek app you can install on the PC which might help? Player I have (not Agptek) has such an app.
