    Hi,

I hope someone could kindly assist.

I have an 8GB Agptek Mp3 player. Today, I was using it as normal, when the volume suddenly distorted. I powered it off. When I went to power it up again, the player was completely dead .

I tried replacing the battery, but this didnt fix the problem.

    There is no reset button.

Is there anything else I could try?

Plug it into a laptop via USB port see if it shows up as device drive

Try a long press of the power on button.

Have you checked the manual? There are loads of models, manuals on the maker's website.

Are you sure there is no reset option? It may be a small hole where you insert a paper clip and press to reset. You will probably lose all data though. NB don't accidentally poke the microphone hole, if present!

Try connecting it to PC/laptop. Can you see the device and contents?

Tried the long press- no use.

Plugged the player into my laptop, and it didn't appear at all in My PC.

    No reset button present.

Did you download the manual for your model?

Also, Google 'make model no. problem'
