Considering a Plumbing Apprenticeship, What can I expect?

Business grad working as a Planner for a Construction company and I hate it.
Want to go out and start a Plumbing Apprenticeship.

The thing is before college I spent 6 months as an apprentice electrician on a large industrial site.
Didn't enjoy that but also feel like a bit of a fool for giving it up entirely.

I'm looking at going with a smaller Commercial/Residential crowd - what can I expect?

Probably the same feedback you’re getting on backroads……

Haha what are the odds! I was more so asking here just to get a feel for what to expect in terms of the actual job.

From my understanding it's going to be hard going. I'm sure as a first year they'll have me digging, lugging boilers around the place and helping fit radiators. I've been told kneepads are a must from day one.

I also know naturally enough it's just going to be tough going for the first year at least. Hard physical work out in the elements for frigg all pay. But I do think if I stick with it it'll pay off.
So I just want to set myself up right and properly know what to expect beyond what I've seen the lads doing out on site or what my mates have told me.

Very similar to electrical apprenticeship by way of site work, and domestic work. However electrical would be a "cleaner" trade, less digging involved and plumbing also includes sewerage work...

My 2 brothers are plumbers and have had a good standard of living from it. One specialised on bathroom upgrades whereas the other lad would do any plumbing work.
