Was in a local off licence/shop at the weekend and there was a customer ahead of me who was totally out of his mind - on what I do not know.. but he was buying loads of booze and the staff wer happy to serve him - even though he was displaying al the signs of someone who had already consumed a lot of intoxicants.. he was ranting away, and in my face too… twas v uncomfortable but he wasn't dangerous.. but I thought "why are the staff serving him?" and or at least, telling him to leave customers alone?

I don't think its morally right to serve someone in that state..

what do ye think? am I alone in this?

A lot easier to serve them and get them out than just try to get them out and the grief that would go with it.

Don't expect anything from life, just be grateful to be alive.

It's not just morally wrong it's illegal but con747 above is right. You have to weigh up breaking the law against your own personal safety and that's a no brainer. Not as if the liquor act is enforced anyway.

    Not Your Ornery Onager

When the offie has bars on the counter and all the stock is behind it, you know not to engage with the clientele....
