I placed 3rd on a panel for a permanent role. I have been offered a temporary position with the organisation, which I turned down. I was advised I am now next on the panel. Is it ok to contact the organisation to see if they can give any indication of when I may be called? Reason I am asking is I have been offered another…

Reason I am asking is I have been offered another role elsewhere but I would prefer to wait for this role if it is likely to be soon enough.
