Travelling to Krakow next week, just the 2 of us. Looking to do the usual recommended bits: Auschwitz, Salt Mines, Schindlers Factory. Staying in the old town for 4 nights. Should we book these tours in advance or will tickets be available in these attractions on the day, and if not any recommended booking sites? Any other recommendations or must-do's while we're there also? TIA! :)

    Schindler's Factory:

I purchased a Guided tour ticket in advance from the official Schindler's Factory website.

When I booked in March 2024, on their website, the Museum had one English Guided Tour at 4pm each day. I paid 62zl or €14.35 for the Guided Tour in English and that included the entrance ticket.

I like Guided tours by a human. The Guide talked fast and the tour took 90mins (4pm to 5:30pm). I thought she was good and I enjoyed the tour.

There are third parties providing guided tours and I saw them in the Factory. The guide I had was the Schindler's Factory Guide.

To clarify the above comment, you can purchase entrance tickets for various time slots during the day on the official Schindler's Factory website without a guide.

Auschwitz can easily be booked up if you arrive of the day so you must book in advance. I took a taxi/uber which was an hours journey, it is better to book one of the transported tours as they often include a lunch too (at least in June 2023, there was only a vending machine in the entrance)

Other option is bus but the organized tours are a good priced option to get there. Definitely consider that way.
