    Hi All

I am going to Vegas soon for 5 days and I was looking at getting a US sim card beforehand to use over there. I don't think my Samsung A14 is esim compatible but could I buy a US sim in amazon and use that?

I looked at a few on amazon but some say the Samsung A series is not compatible.

Has anyone any recommendations or advice? Or a link to a sim the would be compatible to my Samsung A14 please?

    Thanks

Yes yours is not esim compatible. Do you know if yours is dual SIM, some are, some not? If it is you could use it in conjunction with what I've linked below. If yours is single SIM you could use this purely for data.

What I've done in the past with a dual SIM phone is bought this to use for data and disabled data on my Irish number, I was able to use WhatsApp with Irish number through the data on this SIM...

Yes my A14 has dual sim so that would be perfect. I only really need data for apps and WhatsApp calls and messages.

    Thanks

Hi sorry for replying back so long since but would the below be the same type of sim as the one you suggested? It's just a larger data size as it looks to me.

And also if my phone is dual sim which I think it is, how do I add the new sim but keep my original number for WhatsApp and such apps? Thanks again

You pop out the sim tray and insert the new sim into the second slot on the tray which is usually the reverse side from the main sim.

To use the 2nd sim for data, you can switch the sim for Data on the quick settings (swipe down from top of the screen to access them, you may have to swipe the whole wany down)

Thanks very much for all your help, appreciate it.

Do you think the other sim card I was looking at is the same data type that you recommended only larger?
