Should postal voting in general elections be expanded in Ireland?

I get the reason why it is limited. There have been various cases over the years that re-inforced the requirement for elections to Dail Eireann to be by secret ballot (as specified in Article 16 of the Constitution) and postal votes are not a secret ballot.

At the same time, postal voting has been gradually expanded among limited categories. Presumably, the argument goes that the requirement can be relaxed for people who otherwise can't vote in person at home (eg diplomats, residents of institutions, students), and the right to vote outweighs the requirement for secrecy in some circumstances.

I've missed a few votes over the years, and might miss the next general election due to travel that was planned and booked before the election will be called.

Obviously, won't happen in time for this election, but should you be able to get a postal vote if you can prove you booked travel before a vote was called? I can't see a reason why not.
