Issues with doing a Transponder Scan on a Edision Piccollino COMBO receiver

Issues with doing a Transponder Scan on a Edision Piccollino COMBO receiver.

This issue with Edision - some spell it Edison - Piccollino S2+T2/C (3in1) combo box - where Irish Terrestrial and Satellite channels can be on the one list - as many people desire.
These people I know of who own this receiver have the Saorview Channels they would actually watch on the lowest numbers (1-13 - with channels on the usual Saorview numbers except RTE News and Sky News on 9,10, and TG4+1 on 13) then the satellite channels (BBC1,BBC2 etc) from 14 onwards (Saorview channels they have no interest in were left at end of list)

Anyhow after doing just a single transponder scan for some satellite channel they had lost and want back (changed transponder) - it finds it OK (transponder channels found added after existing list as you would expect) BUT all the (Saorview) terrestrial channels then get moved to the very end of the channel list after what is found on the newly scanned transponder (so RTE1 is no longer on 1, etc, but near the end of the complete channel list, with the existing satellite channels moved down to start at 1, so BBC1 not RTE1 is now on 1 etc )
It is of course not desired to have all the terrestrial channels to be moved like this, want them to stay put on the familiar numbers.

This repeatedly happened each time a transponder scan is done (only a transponder scan was done, I did not go into terrestrial tuning - no need to)

Scanning a particular satellite transponder to regain a worthwhile desired channel which has moved is a semi-regular occurrence (happens too often), but here one then has the extra hassle of needlessly reordering ALL the Saorview channels on this receiver so RTE1 is as desired back on 1, RTE2 is 2, VM1 on 3, TG4 on 4 etc etc after they were all bumped onto a random 3 digit number at the end of the list, even though i only did just a Sat transponder scan.

Am I doing something wrong, or is it an undesired quirk of these receivers ??

It may just be how the receiver works. I have an older Triax combi which does the opposite. Any time I do anything to do with retuning, the Saorview channels all default to the lowest numbers and I have to sort them again.

This is how this and several other combo receivers work. Its relatively straightforward to move all the terrestrial channels back into place in one block using the services menu.
