Visiting Perth, Australia

    Hi,

I am unable to find website offers deals on fight + car rental + hotel/apartment from Dublin, Ireland to Perth, Australia.

We are looking for a 12 nights stay in Perth + travel time.

I checked with Trailfinder travel agency, and it's coming in at €9000 for February 2025 for 2 adults + 1 child. We felt it's too high for basic and economy package. We want to see things at our own pace and do some road trips.

Any suggestions where I could find the best deals?

Or is it better to book flights, car and hotel separately?

    Many thanks 😊

From my research, it seems booking flights, hotels and car rental separately is cheaper.

Getting good deal for flights with Singapore airlines.

Singapore airlines have had the cheapest prices for a while for trips from Ireland to Oz.

Only downside is you have to take 3 flights instead of 2 if traveling with the middle east airlines or Qantas from Heathrow.

I've flown with Singapore airlines before and found them excellent.

    Thanks for sharing this review.

    For us, it will be:

Shannon > London > Singapore > Perth (3 flights). And same route inbound.

Qantas is direct from Heathrow to Perth, but cost is €1500 high for 3 people compared to Singapore Airlines. Plus arrival and departure times with Singapore airlines suit us better.

Could you please suggest local sim card for Perth? And where to get?

I didn't fly to Oz with them but I know there are places at arrivals in the airport.

Telstra would be the main mobile company over there with the best coverage but not necessarily the cheapest, but there will be plenty of reviews online for other companies, (trip advisor etc) if price is important to you.

You probably don't want 12 nights in perth as the distances are pretty high to visit diffferent locations up and down the west coast.

Rottnest is an easy day trip from Perth but if you want to go up to the Nigaloo reef you'll want to stay a couple of nights. Proably the same if heading down to the wine regions like Margaret River.

Thanks, I will check 2 weeks of phone coverage, mainly data pack deals.

We will be in Perth only and visiting places 1-2 hours away as we have a toddler. Perth Zoo, Rottnest, the CBD, beaches, etc. are what we plan to do. We booked a house near a beach.
