    I’m trying to tighten the side of the bed to the headboard and end. What is this fitting please snd I can’t grip it to tighten it

    That looks like normal self assembly type fasteners. They only turn 90 or 180 degrees if Im right. I think they are called cam nuts. They turn with a normal slotted or philips screwdriver and grip on to the other fastener.

    Might be wrong though

    What are you trying to grip it with? What happens when you turn it with a screwdriver?

    long nose pliers but can’t grip it.

    Does a normal flat screwdriver go I. There? If it does I’ll need glue to stick the hair I pulled out back on.

    Yeah, I put a lot of flat pack stuff together, never encountered that particular fixing but looks to me the a flathead will budge it. Obviously a Philips head in the Centre too so thats worth a try if you haven't already.

    I spotted the Casey’s furniture van and asked them. They said it’s the must pointless fixing they’ve ever had to fix. Neither flat nor Philips are deep enough to tighten it fully. I might pva it
