Gearbox Replaced 2 years ago with Recondition Gearbox, needs replacing again

Hello 2 Years ago, I replaced the gearbox in my Ford Galaxy, its a 12 D. It looks like I need to replace the gearbox again. I got it done previously by a local garage. Should I have gotten longer out of it, or is it just bad luck with the reconditioned gearbox I got? My mileage is not that high about 10k per year. Cheers

Is it an automatic gearbox by any chance? Those Ford powershift gearboxes are terribly troublesome if so.
Also you say the last replacement gearbox was reconditioned. You sure it wasn't just a second hand one from a scraped car? A reconditioned gearbox usually come with a 6 or 12 month warranty but no guarantee after that. A second hand one would only come with a guarantee from the scrap yard that it should work on fitting.
