HI, Heading to Copenhagen for a few days and looking to find hotel thats central to most attractions by walking, also budget friendly restaurants, dont mind splurging a few nights, any help would be appreciated.

We stayed in the Square and loved it. The breakfast was amazing. I would say that its quite modern though and not quaint like some of the other hotels.

We went with 2 kids and there are plenty of budget buffet places around - e.g. Dalle Valle. We also ate in Tivoli gardens food hall and Torvenhallern (where I think Rick Stein ate) a bit which was very reasonable and allowed everyone to eat what they wanted. There were loads of gorgeous looking high end places, but they didn't suit our kids!

Was there at the weekend. Stayed in Manon Les Suites (Google it!! It's not a budget hotel unfortunately 😂).

There was a nice all you can eat buffet next door called Flammen which was reasonably priced and the food was nice.

Buka bakery was lovely for pastries but again very expensive. Overall it's an expensive city. Get the metro from the airport to the city centre. Runs every 2 minutes and costs €4.

We stayed in Tivoli hotel. Not to far away from stuff. . There’s a good pool and leisure centre. Very good for families.

Stcandic Hotels are everywhere and reasonably priced, around €150 a night for the room. Great breakfast buffet too.

Last time in Copenhagen we stayed at the Scandic near the airport, very easy to get to city centre but Scandic will probably have 10 or more central options.

I'm just back from a city break, me and my wife went alone, leaving the kids at home with Nanny and Grandad for a night. Stayed in the Andersen hotel, it was really excellent. 5 minutes from Tivoli, staff were really helpful and it was great value for money. My wife has a major case of the guilties, and has sworn to go back at Christmas with the kids to see Tivoli lit up, we are thinking of staying in Tivoli hotel this time, it looks great.

Stayed in the Meininger Copenhagen last December, very cheap and cheerful. Handy for train station and not far from Tivoli and other sites.Bar does a happy hour which is useful before you head out. I'd recommend Torvehallerne food market,Warpigs and the Meat Packing district for other restauarants.
