eir Mobile Connect - 30 Day

I tried various options in Lyca in porting like pre pay , post pay multi etc

initial I got error like account number mismatch, when I tied other option I got pre/port flag mismatch

not sure which is the right option

I tried to switch one of my Three numbers to Lycamobile earlier this week and I was getting a 404 (or 400, I can't remember) error when I submitted the details so I gave up and switched it to 48 instead.

This was a post paid, multi

You could try to call their customer support on 01 4372322

I switched from Sky mobile to lyca today with esim and it was all done and dusted in about 10 minutes on the website very straight forward.

Had similar problems moving from Vodafone. I was bill pay and when you select that Lyca require you to fill out an account number. Thing is, Lyca form requires a 12 digit account number when Vodafone numbers are just 10 digits. I tried 2 leading zeros, I tried picking pre-pay, all rejected (by Vodafone).

On 3 occasions Lyca tried to request the port for me. All 3 times failed. Their support is decent, as in they listen and do their best, but not very effective. You always get 'port success complete' messages too, which confuse: all they mean is the request was successfully submitted. When the failure comes, it comes as gaeilge!

Anyway: What I thought to try next was ask Vodafone to put me on prepay, then submitted my port. This submitted today, I will know on Monday if it worked.

If it does, it might be worth asking eir to put you on a pay as you go plan.

I had the same problem trying to port my current mobile number from Virgin mobile to Lyca with their esim. I entered Post paid mobile and my Virgin account number (6 digits), without success. No help from Lyca call centre…so I gave up on it and moved to another network.
