There is an app yes, although it seems it's not appearing on the play store for whatever reason

I have an unofficial one called Next Train Ireland in the Play Store which does most of the things the official one does.

I’d say the official one isn’t showing because Google have introduced new policies around keeping apps up to date and the Irish Rail one hasn’t been updated in a while.

That link no longer works. I have the app installed on my phone. It's called Iarnrod Eireann - Irish Rail official app.

But it would appear that it's soon to go the way of the Dublin Bus app - killed by TFI who insist that you use TFI Live for planning all trips via public transport.

Shout out for Stephen McBride's 'Next Train Ireland' app which allows you to plan a journey exclusively on the train network. The paid (€2.49) version allows you to store your favourite stations so you can quickly see arrivals and departures.

another vote for "Next Train Ireland" which in addition to being more user-friendly that TFI live also shows incoming trains at terminus stations, which TFI Live does not. This is very useful for figuring out how late your outgoing train is going to be, as late outgoing trains tend to disappear off the system once they go past their scheduled departure.

The Irish Rail app has reappeared on the Google Play Store. Here is the link to the mobile apps from the IR website…..
