I have a Gmail account and a Hotmail account.

Message hotmail > gmail - received

Message gmail > hotmail - not received

Happens for both new messages and replies.

Anyone know what the problem might be?

Is this happening on more than one device .

On pc if i send a gmail message i get a sent reply.

Might your cache or cookies need clearing ?

Are both ISP fully working and not having issues.

I just tried an email from a different gmail account and it was received ok by my hotmail account. So problem looks to be with my gmail account only.

I cleared gmail cache but that didn't fix it. Any issues clearing data? I don't use Gmail very much.

Should have said, it's the gmail app and the outlook app on phone.

Have you checked and confirmed by searching the message by its subject/sender or are you just waiting for notification?
Have you checked "sent" and "outbox" folders on g ?
Have you checked and confirmed that messages not shown due to some settings in outlook. I think "focused inbox" is ON by default - see "other", course you have checked "junk".

I dont use phone as cant see the small screen and only on Pc.

Sometimes if an App has an issue they get you to remove it and then download a fresh copy.

    Might have missed an update?

Looks like the problem is at the particular hotmail account. Email from the Gmail account to a different hotmail account arrive ok.

I'd delete and reinstall the apps on the phone and try again, could be some autocomplete text that won't update properly to the correct address.

Eir Webmail on the blink AGAIN - no inbound mail since 22.15 yesterday - I reported it to Eir this morning but agent was unable to give me any info apart from confirming that others are reporting the same issue and it was being investigated - a disgraceful service that we are being charged more and more to use! 😡

That is why i left eircom when charges came in and went to a free account.

Are you typing in the email address or are you pressing the 'reply' button? I had a problem with the Outlook app recently where replying to certain mails failed because Outlook was putting the full email name and description in as the email address (eg: trying to send a mail to 'Joe Blogs<joe.blogs@mail.com>'). You should get an undelivered notification if this is the problem.
