Tannery, Where can I get a cowhide treated?

I'll be getting a bullock butchered next month, I want to get the hide treated and made into a rug.

I can't find anywhere online.

Anyone hear if anywhere in Ireland?

Anyone actually know and recommend anywhere?

Online it says nick winters animal skin and hides specialists navan co Meath…seems like a commercial operation though,so not sure they do individual requests.

A shorthorn rug would be nice...... alot of varieties , all white ,white and red, red and white etc....

No luck here. There is no one on this island treating cattle hides as a service.

I spoke with a guy who exports hides and he confirmed.

We kill almost 2 million cattle each year in Ireland and export all of the hides. Most of which are given away for free.

Hard to believe. The agriculture business here is not right.
