Link dumping ban

    I do hope this is the right area to ask this question.

    I recently received a 3 day ban on the Current Affairs forum for Link Dumping. I was told I was not able to appeal it, so I am wondering if there is any real clarity on what a Link Dump actually is?

    I was told that this is a Link Dump. I actively take part in many threads on the CF forum, and within this thread this was a valid discussion item. I have since been told that asking a question is not a discussion. The las time I checked, you ask questions in a discussion.

    Hoping to get clarity on this, if this is seen as Link Dumping, then it feels very harsh and a thin line to walk. I did flag this to the mod in question but they have doubled down so I am reverting to this.

    Just pasting a link would constitute a linkdump. If that's your whole post in the OP then, yes I would call that a linkdump.

    As you have been told via PM, there is no appeal available under the New Rules for CA

    You have also been provided with this narrative from the OP of the thread

    And there are to be no link dumps. If you wish to post a link set out what it is about and your own views on it.
