UK Non State / Private Pension

    I am one of the lucky people to have a UK state pension at class 2. During my time in the UK (8 years), I also paid into a private pension for about 6 years. I paid 50 pounds stirling a month. I cancelled/froze it, when I returned to Ireland in the 1990's. I received statements on it up to about 2015 and then forgot about it as I was young and foolish. It was taken over by ' Reassure'. I have contacted them and they passed me around to several places, but basically it cannot be found even though I have documentation on it and account numbers. Has anybody been in this situation, and if so, any advice on how to find it? I suppose a solicitor is the next step.
