Eir Settings

Hi folks, made a move from another NBI 1000 provider recently and took out an Eir NBI 1000 package. Eir sent me out their F3000 router and the next morning I got a text from Eir saying "your broadband will be active in 1 hour, please ensure to set up your new eir modem". Called eir as it wasnt working (no internet light) to which they promised a call back. I then called my previous provider and they confirmed they disconnected my service on their end at the exact time eir said the new service would go active. The following day I called eir again and they said they couldn't speak to me about why it wasn't active due to data protection (about my own account lol), called again and got through to someone who said they'd have to escalate the matter to a technical manager and I'll get a call back in 24/48h. It's now day 3 since they said it'd be active and no resolution, I can't call eir support on Sundays either. I'm wondering if anyone has an NBI service with Eir and could share me their router settings. My NBI box has all 3 lights green so everything seems to be working up to that point, the eir router even has the power, sync and wifi lights solid green. Just the Internet light is off. Kind regards :)

Your router usually is pre-configured with correct settings. You can always factory reset it but it's unlikely the problem.

The problem most likely is that the provider switch failed and the exchange is not communication to your house. It's something Eir must workout with NBI to fix.

You'd have to call Eir Tech. Just keep it short "I switched providers, internet is not working, "internet" light is off, please fix". They'll tell you "we are working on it".

Keep reminding of yourself by calling every 1-2 days asking for an update. Don't believe into "we'll call you back", you seen that nobody does. It's best to callback yourself for an update.
