good car electronics / Audi specialist needed (preferably in Dublin) - Audi MMI failure

    Hi

So the MMI system died on my 2013 Audi A4, it turns off straight after loading and does the same thing when you turn it on again, no music or radio. Local indepedant mechanic said he doesn't want to do it as its a big and pointless job replacing the whole unit but after doing some research online, the whole MMI system is a big loop and if one component fails, the rest of it goes.

Can anyone recommend a good Audi/VAG specialist or car electronics fella for these sorts of issues?

    Many thanks

Surely it's a case of replacing the mmi unit with a used one and getting a dealer to code it to remove component protection.

Anyone with vcds scanner or similar would do basic check to see if fault coming up in unit or any other info.

Thanks for the recomendations lads but I ended up fixing it myself

ordered a cheap set of fiber optic bypass loops off Amazon and discovered it was just a bad radio unit, the MMI itself was fine. Got a second hand unit and had a mechanic remove the component protection. finally working again :)
