Tax

I would like to ask one question about tax in Ireland.

Me and my wife have been working in Ireland for a while. We have some savings, both of us, not much, for example a few or couple of dozens.

We opened a new, joint account.

If we both transfer our money to that account, would someone ask us to pay a tax for that money?

We earned it in Ireland and tax has already been paid (during the past, every week we pay tax when we get paid from our employers).

Many thanks for clarification and for explaining this matter.

It should not be that someone will asks us to pay the tax since the tax has already been paid on all that money, but I would like to hear from someone who knows better this matter.

    Have a wonderful afternoon.

There's no tax on that, the tax is paid. It's just a joint account.
