Hi all, caustic soda was poured down one of our shower drains a few years ago. There's this greeny/blue hard crystaly kind of stuff around the trap and down the drain. I think it's the caustic soda. Does anyone know how to clear it?

Green/blue would indicate some corrosion of a brass part. It may have been a chromed part before the caustic soda ate the chrome off it, exposing the brass underneath. Scrubbing brush and maybe polishing it might be the best solution.

No brass. Just a white shower tray and trap.

Caustic will clear a pipe and leave no residue. So it's not the caustic.
