    Hi all,

Looking for advice. I have Vodafone ftth and the router can't cope after a power cut when it starts up. After a power cut we have not Internet unless I turn off the router, Unplug all the network cables, reboot the router, wait for it to fully boot up and then reconnect the network cables. I can cope when I'm at home but when I'm not it's a pain. I do have a lot of smart switches and devices connecting. Vodafone replaced my router which made no difference. Any suggestions what I can do. Cheers

    Andrew

What other network devices you have - routers, switches(make/model)?

    I have the following

TP-Link EAP110-Outdoor 300Mbps Wireless N Outdoor Access Points for WiFi outside.

2 x Apple Airport express operating as WiFi access points

1 x old eir f2000 acting as wifi access points

    1 x TP-Link TL-SG1005D, 5 Port Gigabit Ethernet Network Switch

    1 x TP-Link 8 Port Gigabit Network Switch, LS 108G.

    Thanks

I wonder how these are configured …
2 x Apple Airport express operating as WiFi access points
1 x old eir f2000 acting as wifi access points

there must be only one DHCP server on the network, VF router in your instance.
see here how to configure f2000, double-check your config. Review airport as well

Note: both devices above limiting your speeds - 100mbps on Ethernet connection

Thanks. Will check the airport express later. The f2000 was set up as per the link in your message.

Any advise on better wifi access points that won't break the bank. Used the above as I had the lying round the house when I set it up.

    Depend on your bank :D
Providing that you have Ethernet available as backbone in all required locations - Aruba Instant On or Unify stand high on my list.
If you have to wireless extend your network then look into mesh kits(some Aruba have ability)

Note: dont mix Aruba Instant vs Instant ON - two different product ranges where Instant require hardware controller
