Qashqai battery need replacing or something else?

    Twice in last week my 2011 petrol qashqai has died when stopped when stopped when stopped/start is on and I just about to press the clutch to engage the engine again. If I lift the bottom and lift the cap on and off the battery it will start again. Clock etc is reset. Is it just a faulty battery or a lose connection or worse?

    if the battery was faulty the stop start system would usually deactivate and not function, so I don’t think it’s necessarily the battery if stop start is actually turning the car off.
    The fact that the car starts again off the same battery kinda backs that up too.

    thanks for response. The stop/start wouldn’t work all the time so might be related
