Bought new by me in 2022, has probably seen less than 300km. Has been sitting in the shed and while I've been thinking I'll get back around to using it, I realise that is unlikely, so putting up for sale.

Specs are per giant website for a 2022 revolt advanced 0, grx 8, carbon wheels etc.

    Size large.

    i don't think you've mentioned the size?

    The first post says it's a L.

Just on sizing, OP what height are you? I'm riding a M/L Defy but I've seen chat that for the Revolt it can pay to size up.

I might be better if it's too big, save me a long negotiation with Mrs Nilhg….

Nilhg, my revolt is L, you're more than welcome to hop onto it, see what you think

That might be more temptation than I could resist but thanks, I'll have to get my thinking cap on…

    Hi there,

I'm around the 6 foot 2 mark but I'm a weird shape, very long arms and normal size torso and legs, I also prefer a slightly smaller frame , I could probably get away with an XL (and have had XL frames in the past) but just prefer a smaller frame, my other bikes are around 57/58.

I tried an m/l giant revolt before buying this and just sitting on it and my knees were touching my elbows.

You are welcome to try etc if location suits

Ps sorry I think my point is that height is probably a decent guide or estimate but it's probably better to go onto a bike size calculator/ comparison tool and insert a few of your own bikes that you are fitted on and compare things like reach and stack etc (even across different brands I've found they have their own sizing, eg my 59 bianchi is about a 57) and my 58 Ridley is a lot bigger than the bianchi etc…

I had a look on Bikeinsights and on first look the L revolt seems much bigger than my M/L Defy but then you have to factor in the shorter stem and the higher stack on the Revolt.

I'll have a think about it over the rest of the weekend, and maybe take @cletus up on his offer to have a look at his but my gut feeling is it will be too big for me.

It's very well spec'ed with full GRX 810 kit. I'd recommend it for anyone who wants a bike for long weekend road spin and coffee meetup type rides. Put 35-40 slicks on it and it's far more comfortable and practical than a pure "road bike".

Yeah it would definitely be the sort of bike that you could get away with onlybhabjng one bike, possibly a second set of wheels with different tyres.

I have a few older road bikes that are probably worth very, very little but are worth a lot more to me than I could get for them, hence I'll keep them and sell this. If the road bikes were of any significant value I'd sell them instead and keep this as my only bike.

Ps Paul the name is familiar, you didn't buy an old Ridley off me a few years ago on here for your nephew ? If so , hope it worked out ok for him

Yes, that's me all right! It was for an old school friends nephew and he was very happy with it. It was a fine bike and very well looked after!
