Susi - supplementary welfare allowance

    Hi all.

My eldest has just gone to college and got the special rate grant. I was on jobseekers transition payment for all of last year. I'm worried about next year as I am switching from jobseekers transition payment to disability allowance (if they approve it) and will be on supplementary welfare allowance in the meantime.

I was looking at the website in regards to how they can stack payments but I'm not sure if this will apply to me. I'm not sure if disability will have been approved by December 31st, and it says I would need to have been on supplementary welfare payment for 52 weeks.

I did ask SUSI but they said they can't answer until next year when my child applies again. I'm very concerned that they won't get the special grant due to the switch in payments.
