I'm coaching a local soccer team (U14-U16's level) the last few years and had the pleasure of seeing some of the players make it to County players. However I've had report back lately from one of the mothers of those players being told that this year the FAI have enough money to do the County Soccer first block up to Christmas and after that there is no funding at this point to go any further. It was conveyed that this was across the board. I then found out that those county players from last season never received their county gear which was a big thing for those making it to that level. There has been other cuts to things mentioned as well which I won't go into. I would just like to know has anyone else heard similar? And what is the main outcome here, does Soccer get to a point of non-existence in Ireland?
