Looking at new TV - Differences between LG OLED models

    Hi Richersounds,

I currently have a Panasonic TX-P50G10L Plasma TV and I'm thinking about getting a PS5 around Black Friday. This of course has led to thoughts of getting a new TV to take advantage of the PS5 etc.

I'm currently researching new TVs, in particular the LG 55 and 65 C series, and I was wondering what is the difference between the LG C44LA and C46LA models?

    Thanks,

    Ken

    Hi Rael.

    Thanks for the post.

For a while we did have both version. (They are both the same spec and I can't see a noticeable difference).

However the 46LA version has ran out of stock and only the 44LA now available.
The 46 version has been dropped from our .com website and would expect our .ie to follow suit.

The current C4 range is amazing!!!

    55C44LA is currently priced at £1399 / €1648

The 65C44LA is coming in at £2099 / €2248 (THe Euro deal seems to be the better price on this one).

You are free to pay in whichever currency works out to be the cheapest for you.
Both come with our VIP 6 year guarantee included free of charge.

    Hi Kenny,

Thanks for coming back to me, I've been smashed with work over the past two weeks so didn't get a chance to reply to you, my apologies.

I've also just seen your RSTV deals, I'm very interested in the 65" C4, but I've a small complication. We're getting the house painted next week and are currently packing everything up at the moment, obviously having a big TV box arrive wouldn't be the best thing for its or my own personal safety.

Is there any chance if I order, that you could delay delivery for approx. two weeks or until I give you a shout when we know we're back to normal? I don't want to miss out on the deal but also I'd prefer not to have it around the house while the lads are working, if that's possible.

Also, out of interest, are there any offers on the Panasonic DPUB820 if I buy it with the TV or is there the possibility of a Black Friday offer?

    Many thanks,

    Ken

    Hi Rael.

We can offer to hold the TV for a week or so but we will have to complete it off our system before the 4th for it to qualify for the current RSTV codes.

The Pana 820's are like hens teeth at the moment and there wouldn't be any further discount available on it unfortunately.
With the RSTV codes in operation there is anything else I can do on the TV price.

With Black Friday, we do not get told the deals until a day or so before the event starts.

On A similar topic. I saw an offer for an LG 65B42 elsewhere. Any idea what the difference is between that and the B44/46? Specs look identical on the LG website. In the market for a 65 Oled.

    Hi Akula,

    Thanks for the post.

I've been through the specs with a fine toothcomb and I can't tell any real difference between them in terms of specs - there could be a design feature that is different on them but it looks to be an exclusive model to other retailers so the B42 isn't available to ourselves.

If you're looking for a bargain I do have the Philips 65OLED908 available at £1499/1799 euro - it's Philips 2023/24 flagship OLED with built in B and W soundbar and it's a huge upgrade over both the LG B and C series as it uses an MLA panel so the brightness is much better. I'm tempted to upgrade my old LG B8 with one!

Please don't hesitate to drop me a post if you'd be interested in one of these!

    Kind regards

    David
