I'm making some alterations to my bathroom and moving a stud wall to allow for a 1700mm bath to be placed under a window, rather that running lengthways, away from the window.

How much tolerance should I allow, plasterboard to plasterboard, allowing 8.5mm -10mm for a tile (17mm-20mm in total) , tiles would be both ends. Lip around the bath is 80mm

My calculations are telling me 1710-1715 wall to wall is the maximum I could have,

    Any thoughts?

Wait until the bath is onsite and actually measured.

Just unwrapped it there, it's 1700mm on the drawing but 1690mm when measured, I've allowed 1705mm opening, should be fine, I'll just pick a 10-12mm tile surround!
