"At risk" of redundancy - Consultation period dragging on

Our company informed a number of us about 6 weeks ago that we were "at risk" of redundancy.

Employee representatives were selected, and they entered into consultation with the company. A proposal was submitted on by them on our behalf to the company regarding redundancy terms about 3 weeks ago.

Since then, there's been no communication on the matter from the company. They haven't replied regarding the proposal. We're still getting paid, and them delaying the process only pushes our termination dates out. So we haven't pushed them on it, because the ball is in their court, and a delay is to our advantage.

I know the legal minimum for the consultation period is 30 days, but it can extend longer than that if negotiations are continuing. But we're in a state where we've passed the 30 days, but negotiations have unilaterally stalled.

So my question is, does there come a time when non-engagement by the company somehow cancels the at-risk consultation period? Surely they can't just announce that we're at-risk and then leave us in this state indefinitely. Does there come a point where they'd have to start the whole process again from scratch?
