Not the best day weather wise for my favourite sportif, but still a great day out. Thanks as ever to the super friendly and accommodating crew who were up to their usual high standard. Here's hoping for a sunny day in 2025.

Man, if ye got winds like we got in Wicklow ye had a hard day out! I had intended going down to do it with a few mates down there but it didn't work out. I was feeling sorry for them as I wrestled with my front wheel on my own windy spin.

I saw pics of Olympic rower Paul O Donovan doing it. Rowers have a habit and history of jumping on bikes and disappearing off into the distance but it was gas to see him looking like a complete Fred 😁

Yeah I did it too and was annoyed that it was another miserable start to the day weather wise. Dried up a bit later though, but a far cry from, last year when it was shorchio
