The civil birth record for Patrick Barry says he was born at the Lying-in Hospital in Cork City in 1890.

Would anyone be able to tell me what hospital was the lying-in hospital at this time?

According to Guy's 1893 directory a Lying-In hospital for Cork City and County was on Nile Street.

I think that later became the Erinville.

The house built by the Perrot family was acquired in 1898 as a maternity home, so Master Barry was born elsewhere. The Erinville Wiki page does not have much info., but I recall seeing it referred to as the 'Erinville Lying-in Hospital'. A source mentioned in a newspaper article is Alicia St Leger’s book “Born in Cork”.'

The Lying- In Hospital is listed as Nile Street, which is now Sheares Street. The Erinville moved to a building noted to be on Dyke Parade in the 1820s, which is just a continuation of Sheares Street. So the hospital in question could have been the Erinville, just not the one on Western Road.
