Low mileage or newer model, which is better for a used car?

Alright lads, regardless of the car model, what’s the main thing you consider when buying a used car: low mileage or recent years? For example, if you had two cars with the same shape, one from 2019 with 110k KM and another from 2016 with 60k KM, which one would you choose?

If they were the same price I would go for the 2019. Reasoning for me is I don't do high mileage, within 3 years I'd be averaged out to what the 2016 car would have done by then.

Cheers for that! The 2019 is slightly dearer, but it’s had 2 owners, whereas the 2016 has only had 1. D'you reckon the number of owners should be a big factor in the decision? I know mileage matters, but I’m wondering if more owners might mean more potential issues down the line

2 owners on a 5 year old car wouldn't be strange, a lot of new car buyers or PCP users who stick to a particular brand would change when a new revised model comes out every 3-4 years. If the most recent owner only had it for less than a year that might raise a red flag as potentially issues with it, then again some peoples circumstances change and they may just want a different car for some reason or another.
